70th Anniversary

Happy New Year! As we turn to 2021, MSA and NHPNLL are proud to begin the 70th Anniversary celebration! In 1951, the organization was born of local parents who wanted to bring organized baseball programs to a blossoming post-war community here in New Hyde Park. After several meetings, an official Little League charter was granted. The league was named after the Merillon Fire House located where the current Denton Ave. School parking lot is. Merillon Athletic Association would begin its incredible journey impacting the lives of countless children. Although it eventually transitioned to its modern name of Merillon Sports Association, the mission has never changed - to deliver high quality baseball programs to the community of New Hyde Park.
