2025 New Hyde Park North Little League Challengers Softball

The New Hyde Park North Little League is proud to offer our
Challenger Softball Program for children with special needs. This will
be our 34th year offering this program. The program features
experienced coaches who give individual instruction to your child. In
addition to the weekly practice we will also participate in the Annual
Nassau County Challenger Softball Tournament in the spring and
Challenger Jamboree in the fall.
We accept children with any disabilities, from mild to severe. We
have two teams and depending on the child’s age and ability, they will
be placed accordingly. The young team will have girls and boys
ranging in ages from 3 to 13 years old. The adult team has players
from 19 years old and up. The cost is $70.00, which includes a team
shirt, hat and trophy. We practice on Friday nights, from 6:00pm to
7:30pm at the Merillon Field complex located on Marcus Avenue
between Lakeville Road and New Hyde Park Road. We have two
seasons: spring and fall. The spring season starts Friday, April 4th,
and finishes Friday, June 27th. The fall season starts Friday,
September 5th and finishes on Friday, October 24th.
You will be pleased with the enjoyment your child receives from
learning a sport, making friends, and participating on a team.
